Bij een taalwetenschapper denk je misschien aan iemand die veel talen spreekt en een goed taalgevoel heeft. Ik zal niet ontkennen dat een beetje taalgevoel handig is bij het vertalen van WordPress, maar taalwetenschappers kunnen ook op een ander gebied veel bijdragen: op het gebied van SEO. SEO gaat namelijk voor een groot deel over zoekwoorden, leesbare content schrijven, en een goede interne linkstructuur. Aan de hand van die drie onderwerpen, laat ik zien dat een taalwetenschapper veel meer voor jou kan betekenen dan ervoor zorgen dat de WordPress-backend vertaald is naar het Nederlands.
